Does anyone know if you can drink coffee as soon as you take Zytiga in the morning or do you need to wait an hour as you must with food?

Coffee with Zytiga
I drink coffee have not had any issues.
I drink coffee usually at some point within that hour. I down my Zytiga 1,000 MG with at least 32 oz of water too. No issues and PSA down to 0.084 from a high of 146 prior to treatment. Maybe the coffee helps? Who knows. Thankful for the medicine and my family. Peace.
I concur...and I'm quite sure I asked my MO before the start of treatment, as I would find the lack of coffee in the morning much more inconvenient than not eating.
PSA at 0.03 today after 7 months of Lupron/Zytega/Prednisone from an initial diagnosis at 350...
Awesome PSA stats!
I went from PSA 1000+ to PSA 0,36, in a few months, was very happy with the velocity. But, then, read three studies - quick drop of PSA, suggests aggressive cancer and quicker time to castrate resistance.
Time for another cup of coffee...
Does that include all mets?..holy crow......there seem to be quite a few variants that don't follow any rules...i'm like you but have no visceral or endocrineal involvement. fast drop...fast rise...not a comforting prognosis...of course we both have to take some solice in the fact that the drug regime is changing so fast with very little longitudinal data in proving any hard and fast rules....n'est ce pas?
Its a f'in horrible thought that I survive at your expense or vice versa...know what I mean.
Forgot the link: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...
My last visit, the doc told me I'm doing great because the PSA dropped, but this study says otherwise, moreover, my doc, Mark Pomerantz was one of the researchers.
I hear you about the fast changing regimes, like others have said here, oncologist's minds are always in a fog...
I take my Zytiga at night before bed for this reason. I'm having my morning coffee now as I read this.
Cheers!
Whoa, I just had my Zytiga/Prednisone meds, then followed up with cappuccino - Italian style. This is barista style cappuccino, not that foam coffee soup you get at Starbucks.
My "go to bed" time is a bit random, so I'm better off taking it first thing in the morning. Last month, started intermittent fasting, 8 PM to 12 PM, but coffee in the morning with no sugar is fine...
Best to take coffee with either sugar or cream or both or black. Better yet with a young gorgeous naked blonde lying next to you in bed. Hmmm Hmmmm Hmmmmmm Memories...
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

I’ve been taking Zytiga with a coffee (the real thing from beans) every morning at 11am for the last 7 years. I take my Prednisone and Lanzaprozole at 8am with breakfast. Zytiga at 11, then lunch at 12.30, statin at bedtime. My phone has an alarm set for 11am everyday so I don’t forget.
I take the Zytiga & Prednisone first thing in the AM usually between 5:00 & 6:00 then get my 1st cup coffee. When I first went on Zytiga I ask about the coffee and both my MO and the Pharmacist on his Oncology team said go for it!! I did...love my coffee!
I am sitting here with my expresso made with full cream.....been doing it since day one!...PSA and LABS are perfect...MO said don't stop!!!
I take it with coffee in the morning (10AM). No sugar, just stevia added. I had been taking it at around 2AM, but experienced quite a bit of cramping in calves and ham strings while sleeping. I figured this medication is pretty hard on muscles and tendons, so decided it would be better to take it when I am more active; and my blood tests actually got a bit better too.
I asked that question to my pharmacists this morning
Coffee is OK with Zytiga if it is black. Milk or cream is a problem
Coffee black is OK with ZYTIGA, per my pharmacist
