I have this huge bottle sitting here and wonder if others taking Zytiga are using Fenben.

If so, are you getting good results.

If you self-medicate, make sure you tell your doctor, and check liver enzymes. Also, I don't know if it interferes with PSA tests - use scans.

Thanks. As others, I value your opinion. The MO didn't seem against it and he didn't offer Erleada or anything besides Zytiga which has always been his preferred drug. He didn't recall that there has been no bone involvement so far.

Taking fenben with Xtandi. New blood tests later this month may tell me something.

I have seen several on here that are using Fenben with Xtandi. Please update when you get your results so we can be informed. Fingers crossed for ya!

Shooter, I was doing some research on this site for Fenben. I found that you started it a year age. Any results you could share?

Don't know if it's the cause, but last blood test this month showed PSA at 0.00. Don't see how it can get much better, hope it lasts a long time.

Great, I may be going on fenben soon. I may try staying on xtandi and adding fen ben.

Replying to myself.

The fenben, zytiga, prednisone combo has dropped his PSA although not into the zero range yet.

Xtandi quit working so he switched to Zytiga on August 12, 2019. We did not expect Zytiga to work but thought it would be a good time to start Fenben due to the liver monitoring.

His latest PSA was 10.14 after a high of 13.7? in early summer. His doubling time in early summer was a bit alarming.

Most importantly, he is feeling good. He has a little pot belly probably from the prednisone. His only gripe is that he doesn't like taking all those pills but he chuckles about the dewormer.

My husband has Advanced Prostate Cancer and just started on Zytiga 1-month ago and continuing with Eligard and Xgeva. His PSA went from 48.4 to 8.4. All his numbers are good but also considering fenben.

My husband finished the bottle a month ago and didn’t take anymore. His PSA has been going up even on Zytiga and we haven’t been able to get him into any trials or PSMA scans. He is functioning well at the moment after 20 years of this prostate cancer BS.

Did I understand you to say your husband was on Zytiga, Prednisone and Fenben at the same time? Has it helped him?

Grumpyswife profile image

It’s difficult to say what has helped as he has had many treatments with some overlapping. Covid eliminated or delayed his options which are scarce anyway. He is still alive so we’re happy.
