Lupron and Zytiga will pretty well extinguish your sex drive. You can have erections, but you probably won't want to. You should hit the gym hard - the extra exercise may help prevent fat gain, muscle loss, and lessen fatigue. Talk to your oncologist about whether intermittent ADT is appropriate for you to give yourself vacations periodically.

I am on adt, Zytega and lupron. On my MO’s advise, I lift weights hard three days a week. Not huge amounts but all muscle groups until you can’t do it anymore. I’ve actially gained a little muscle mass and lost a little weight. I’d hire a trainer at least for a few times so you k is what to do. But clearly emphasize resistance training over cardio. Yes My sex drive is down for sure but not zero. With viagra I can have occasional sex. In fact my dr recommended I take viagra a few times a week to make sure I don’t lose the muscle down there. Canadian pharmacy provides it at 1/3 the cost here.

The question is not whether you can have sex on these drugs, but do you actually want to. They definitely affect desire. An ongoing exercise program is absolutely essential to address fatigue and minimize weight gain. Just prior to starting Zytiga, I intentionally lost 25 pounds. While on it for the past 2 months I have lost nothing, and that's with 4-5 days at the gym for 1 hour each time as well as being on the same diet.

It's not the Zytiga or Xtandi that impacts your sex life, it's the ADT itself, the Lupron, that destroys your sexual drive and ability. Don't forget, it's chemical castration.. The good news is you won't care but your partner might..

It is mentally and physically the most challenging side effect of Lupron, sex and or sex drive. Your whole life it is a part of you and now it is just nothing. Your brain and body has so little interest. The wife has to take the lead or not. I discovered Sunday morning TV news that I never watched before.

tall- allen is right the lupron/eliguard shots remove any sex drive. thats what they give sex addicts it takes all desires of any type of sex. to drop ones testosterone thats what the shots do. remember get tested now and then to see what your testosterone score is. some oncologist believe u should be on those stupid shots for life, course other then lowering your testosterone it makes u weak, sleepy and sucks your bone mass away. last November my testosterone was 3 and i was off of them until recently and my level was 28. back on the shots be smart ask questions and if u want to know your level have the doc order a panel and see what it is

First couple to 3 years i did not want sex. Now i do and we kind of get by. But dont stop using it or you will lose it. There are lots of treatments for ED including injections. I waited to long to get the nerve up for that and it wont work. Im goi g for an implant next month.
