Have been on Zytiga for almost 2 years now and can’t say I have specifically noticed loose stools. That has happened on occasion, but not sure I would attribute it to Zytiga. I think in my case at least, it is more likely linked to diet.

I started on Zytiga in May 2018. Together with 2- prednisone. For 6 weeks I had mild to medium stomach upsets. I requested to be taken off. Oncologist persuaded me to continue. In 2 more weeks it came good. I am very happy with it now. 26 months and continuing. I felt wonderful on Enzalutamide but after 3 months it affected my brain causing a 6 hour memory loss so had to change to Zytiga.

Hello,

It would seem to be a general side effect of many medications for this malady, I was particularly bad on other treatments, but no so much on Zytiga. However your husband may after a while settle down and only occasionally have this problem, if at all.

Your doctor should be able to prescribe something to help aleviate the problem without causing the opposite effect.

Try not to worry too much about it, although unpleasant, there is a solution and hopefully the treatment will work well for him.

When I had loose stools it wasn’t due to the Zytiga but, over the counter Imodium takes care of it for me when it happens.

Zytiga has many side effects hot flashes, loss of libido , ankle swelling,, weight gain just to name a few but never got loose stool from it. I would not rule it out but more than likely it's something he ate or a stomach bug. I have been on Zytiga for going on three years and it has kept my PSA to 0.1 along with Eligard. Leo

If you read all the side effects it's mind boggling. Each one of us who has PC are different cases the side effects for me may not be the same for him. I don't think Zytiga is a wonder drug but it sure has worked wonders for me. I was terrified to start it but it isn't that bad you do get used to the side effects. I take an over the counter Probiotic which takes care of my gut problems. Leo

It is possible side effect of zytiga. It may go away on its own. In the meantime he could take Imodium.
