I just found out my psa is 2.4 and my testosterone is 290. Is that a normal range for both?

Are you on any type of hormone therapy? That seems very high.

Testosterone levels of 290 after 2+ months of Casodex & Lupron seem very high to me.

My levels are below 8 and I have been on Eligard for about 10 months now.

Great...I believe <20 is ideal. Do you think staying the course a little longer will bring it down.

For sure, it will. In a few weeks or less, you should have T levels of under 20 easily, I think. All the very best.

Talk to your oncologist about Firmagon.

After six years of Lupron my T level is <2. None here can predict where your T level will go in the future. We are not oncologists. Tall_Allen's suggestion about Firmagon would seem a good next step.

Your goal is as low as you can go for your PSA and testosterone. I am the caretaker/RN for 12 years to my good friend and just joined this group. His PSA just jumped unfortunately and we are starting radium 223, a form of radiation. I could probably answer a lot of questions for you if you are new, my friend was diagnosed 4 years ago and I am his caretaker.

My husband is getting Xofigo radium 223 and just had his 3rd treatment today. His PSA is 1370 right now.

How did the radium 223 work for your husband? Is it lowering the PSA? You should ask about darolutamide - it is a new out prostate cancer drug.

average male with out prostrate cancder is 0-4.0, as for testosterone it usually around out cancer is from 0-900 with cancer as low as u can get. my psa is 38 and my testosterone is about 5-15. thats what the eliguard /loprin shot is to keep your psa in single digits.
