Diagnosed in 2018-Feb G9 PSA 75

Lymph nodes only no bone mets

Since then zytiga + ped and lupron PSA dropped to 0.08

Took 1 month vacation in july increased to 0.1

Then back to same meds

Did the gene test, Dr said nothing found

No radiation no Chemo

Why have you not attempted curative therapy?

What do you mean by curative?

Im hitting it hard as they say doing zytiga when first diagbosed

I talked to my doc regarding brachytherapy and he said its not worth it due to QoL but hes not against it

He also said he would set and appointment with a radioligist in FEB

cure= getting rid of all the cancer. Yes, radiation may be curative. Brachytherapy alone is certainly NOT curative, but external beam with a brachytherapy BOOST to the prostate may be curative.

Having advanced prostate cancer is worrying. All you can do is wait and try not to worry.

A PSA less than 1 while you have your prostate generally suggests a very good response and a good prognosis. I'm not a doctor and can't interpret your specific results. A 12% change in PSA is barely in the range of what I call significant, but my overall numbers are much higher.

As GP24 said, just having advanced disease is worrying. Try not to add stress over small changes in just 1 or 2 readings. If PSA keeps going up over time your doc will want to talk about it and perhaps make changes.

One of my doctors told me "It's just a number! Worry about how you feel and what you are going to do to get better, not about single blood tests!"

Good luck!
