I Started BIRM at Dinner on Nov. 15th....appx 8 days ago...and everyone is noticing a difference. I have Tons more energy...a lot more strength (i.e. at the gym I was working out with what I thought were 15 pound dumb bells and thinking ...wow..this feels so much easier and better than it has been feeling) .....ONLY to realize when I went to re-rack the weights that they were 20 pound weights. I'm not napping in the afternoon and I am having almost too much energy. AND, the almost unbearable pain in my feet and legs since adding Xtandi to the "mix"...has been cut by really almost 90%. I barely notice any pain.
**before I was dragging along feeling like I had a lead blanked on my shoulders pulling me down and feeling like every step (and believe me I kept on moving through it) was a difficult push. I have stayed active this past two years on Lupron, but it's been really, really ...mind over matter. It has not been easy. I walked the dog twice a day, went to the gym 3 times a week...BUT, I've had to take afternoon naps and I didn't get nearly as much done...or Enjoy any thing I was doing like I used to...now I bounce around the almost mile walk with my Dog, Sparky, ...twice a day....and the gym was a pleasure today.
I'm not sure what this will do for other people ...but BIRM has been a miracle for me this past 8 days. I forgot to mention that my brain fog has almost completely cleared...and even my skin tone looks better....I was told "brighter" by a friend.
I can't wait to see what my PSA is doing...my last was down to the lowest ever...0.888
and my very recent Axumin Pet scan showed clearing in the abdomen of all mets and shrinkage of everything in my pelvic area. Some 50% and most 20 to 30% or more.
I'm hoping this extra "BIRM" factor will keep the Xtandi and Lupron working longer...and help the immunotherapy (Provenge) that I did a few months ago...really fight this bastard disease! It really does "feel good to feel good"...and I've had 8 days of feeling GREAT ! ! !
I recommend checking it out...everyone's different, but it's been a miracle for me!

and I am doing it 3 times a day after meals...and doing the little measuring spoon that comes with it almost full. Directions say about 1/2 full...I think.
I may cut back and see how that does...but the almost full measuring spoon (5 msg, I think) is working so great (for me).
That's the best testimonial for this that I've heard. I'm glad this has given you such a great physical and mental boost. I'm going to research it further and might just take the plunge.
It took me almost two years of reading on here about it to do it. And while on chemo they advised me against any antioxidants or immune boosting things.
Wow John I'm very happy for you brother. Well like you I've been a prisoner to these side effects of the clinical and other drugs that I've been on for the last few months. Quality of life is what we are all yearning. Did you just start taking on your own? What does your MO say? I would love to start using the word "Good" again when someone asks me how I am feeling. Haha
If you're on clinical trial drugs...you probably should advise your MO. My doctor said no supplements...no herbs...no NOTHING...while I was on Chemo and some other things. I am currently only on Lupron and Xtandi (both Hormone based treatments). And the last time I saw the team I asked about Tumeric...they said "oh, yes". So I decided NOW would be the best time for me to try this. It's an herbal immune booster, so it says....and my results in terms of "physical well being and energy" have been astonishing. I do NOT know what my results are will be PSA/cancer growth wise...until I do my next PSA. I will advise the doctor then about what I am doing. It will mean I am on it for almost a month before I "let the cat out of the bag"....
good luck on your journey...
John
p.s. I've been reading your posts and it seems your on the kind of ride I'm on...the FAST TRACK....where things either don't work...or they work for a short time. I hope we both find something that helps give a durable remission.
I have an order placed (the Amazon supplier won't ship to the UK, so I have to take a complicated route) and I'm keen to get started, especially after reading this. Something that could boost energy and appetite would be most welcome right now! Thanks for sharing.
Just goes to show you what desperate men will do if they believe that some off-the-wall quackery will help them....But hey, if you THINK it's working that's half the battle..
what a strange thing to say. I don't really feel "desperate." I have just now read some of your posts where you worry about "side effects"...all I am saying is that this BIRM has made my side effects (for the past 8 days, at least) seem to disappear. My standard treatments which I am on seem to be working well...all things considered(I do have stage 4 prostate cancer) but being castrated which most of the people on here do not like saying(which is what Lupron does)...and being on Xtandi (which is another hormone blocker) ....have horrible side effects. If posting that this herbal treatment(BERM)...which I have been reading about on here and on the internet for 2 years before even trying...is alleviating 90 % of my pain and fatigue and feeling of exhaustion....even if it's just for a few weeks, well...It's worth it for me. I feel beholding to share that feeling of "feeling good" with as many people as I can. Life is beautiful!
Any actual cancer fighting results that come from it...will just be icing on the cake. But, truly, feeling good is it's own reward.
I have just ordered the industrial strength (7X strength) for my husband which is apparently recommended for advanced cancers. Arrives Tuesday; will update how he does on it.
All the best, please let me know how it goes...I may move up to industrial strength😊....p.s. make sure that his doctor doesn't think it will be counter productive with his medications. I wouldn't want his quality of life to be diminished. I'm only on Lupron and Xtandi and figured since it doesn't effect hormones...it will be okay for me. I was told not to do any kind of immune booster during chemotherapy.
Great Great news.... The only downside is I think with all the walking you're gonna wear out poor Sparky (Maybe you'll have to give some Birm to Sparky to keep up with you..nice dog.. nice dog...)
how funny...I was just looking at Sparky and thinking I "could" sneak some into his food...LOL.
on a side note: My partner started taking it...because he was so surprised at my energy levels and changes he saw in me after just 4 days... Now, he's been on it 3 days and is feeling much better from different symptoms. (he's on antibiotics for a mrsa (staph) infection that has been very slow healing. After the second day on the added "BIRM" ...his healing has progressed MUCH quicker than it had on just the antibiotics alone. I do not want to sound like this a miracle drug, but I just wanted to share so that people can decide for themselves if they want to try it.
"BIRM is one of thousands of herbal supplements. The active ingredient in "BIRM" is Dulcamara, extracted from a plant called Nightshade. No gator blood involved...(Gator Blood is a whole different story)..
Here is a warning I found concerning "BIRM"
"Is Solanum Dulcamara poisonous?
Although this is not the same plant as deadly nightshade or belladonna (an uncommon and extremely poisonous plant), bittersweet nightshade is somewhat poisonous and has caused loss of livestock and pet poisoning and, more rarely, sickness and even death in children who have eaten the berries."
If this stuff can provide relief from chemo side-effects, hey, go for it ! But I would do your homework before you jump on these bandwagons ..Five or six people have placed orders for these pills, lets see if the magic works for them..
I wouldn't use it with chemo...I was told not to even use probiotic yogurt during that time....or any kind of immune booster. My side effects come from almost 2 years of Lupron (castration) and almost 6 months of Xtandi.
well...it's something you can put into the search here...and read a lot about. You can also google it ...especially google "birm cancer". Lots of interesting things come up. I am not able to say how it will work for everyone. I just started it...after looking at it and reading about it for almost 2 years. I have only been on it for 8 days ...however, My experience (so far) has been wonderful with helping with the side effects of Lupron and Xtandi...which is all I am on now. It is also jokingly called "gator blood" on here...so if you look you'll find a lot about it. I ordered mine through Ebay....there is a link above to it on ebay. Read, Study...and do what you think is best...and good luck with your journey! It comes from Equador.
I just talked with a friend who just has nerve issues (neuropathy) and a skin condition...who I told about it...he started today...and says he thinks he is feeling more energetic already. I haven't heard anything bad about it yet....this is my day 13...and I just went into a store that I go to fairly often and a woman who works there said, "wow, John, you look great! how are. you feeling"...and I finally got to tell her..."great". I'm one of those types that just doesn't say "fine" when someone asks...I'm honest...LOL. Feels good to be back to saying "Great". I hope you get great results!
John
The Birm comes from the amazon .So does ayahuasca .... If you’re looking for some spiritual healing try that. I recommend it for any open minded person with Cancer.. Food looks rich.. -Still eating Costco hotdogs too. ?? I’m going to ask my naturalpathic Doc & compadre about the birm for me.. Im In your exact same camp, prior to Birm... no NRG..
the energy thing really sucks. I had been dragging around for months. It really does feel good(so far). May be I'm on a honeymoon and it will stop working any day now. Everyday I feel good, though, is a GREAT DAY ! ! !
Bill...you're doing it again...making me feel like you know me. That is an expression I have used my whole life..."being on the sunny side of the street"...I like it literally and figuratively ! ! !
I will tell you, I had posted about 3 posts ago..about how hard it was getting to be optimistic with Lupron and Xtandi...but I am back to my old self.
Hugs,
John
Hec yah! Feeling good everyday is what its all about..QOL is most important.. Take care ...
I can only suggest that you research it on here and on google...I have had the most energy since taking it that I have had since starting Lupron. And make sure that your doctor knows.
Have you considered Avodart, Metformin and/or Simvastatin to go along with the Xtandi? Just curious as there is lots of support for those on here and from Dr. Myers.
I left out Metformin...I take that too, but my Oncologist wouldn't prescribe it. I got the prescription from my primary care doctor.
My prostate shows no signs of cancer since radiation and HIFU, so Avodart would be for what? and the last drug I have thought about ....as I am on Crestor...but I understand that Simvastatin is supposed to be better for prostate cancer patients.
You can search Avodart on here but there is the other name which I don’t recall. I will update you after we ask yet another MO to prescribe it tomorrow. Tomorrow’s MO was personally recommended by Dr. Myers (who also said my John should be taking Avodart with his Xtandi) so I am hopeful he will be a keeper.
I googled side effects of BIRM and guess who’s name came up? Nalakrats.
I am using directions I got of the little spoon almost full (which is apps 4 ml) ...3 times a day after each meal. *There is a 7 X strength available...so I figure using the lower dosage and doubling the amount would be a good place for (me) to start with my issues. I have friends who are doing it as it says twice a day. Good Luck, hope you get a boost from it...as I did. People are still marveling at the change in my energy (and mood) as am I. I am just now at day 14. I can't even remember the pain in my feet and legs ...it only a faint memory ...I just remember describing it to people as a "vice clamping down breaking every bone"...and I want to saw off my legs. But, alas, we are all different.
