Has anyone tried LDN - Low Dose Naltrexone

My Dad has been on Lupron for 17 years for advanced prostate cancer, but it has now metastasized to his lungs. Zytiga made him very sick. Has anyone tried LDN - Low Dose Naltrexone? I know it is being used with success with other cancers.

There were two clinical trials in 2013 for PCa that failed to recruit enough participants

There is an ongoing trial for breast cancer to see if it reduces fatigue during radiation for breast cancer:

Considering the mode of action, I would GUESS that if there is an effect, it would be optimized as an adjuvant to chemo treatment or with Provenge (or both). If nothing else, it might reduce the fatigue/brain fog from chemo.

LDN helped me a lot with increased sleep quality. Less waking up during the night. Low dose Naltrexone helps me a lot. I get 50mg naltrexone pills (So happy😊, I found getreliableonline.net/go/ldn ❤️ couponcode "GET10"), than get it compounded into 1.5mg doses. I've been doing this a few years with volumetric dosing. 50ml of distilled water with a 50mg tab of Naltrexone. Dose 1.5mg (1.5ml) with an oral syringe. I skip doses once in 3-4 days when I start feeling wired and over stimulated. Works great.. Made me feel better, helped with skin conditions.

Yes. Made me sicker than a dog. It was a failed attempt for “pain management” rather than using opioids. (Spaced out for two weeks, felt bad, pervasive cognitive issues, etc.) Went back to opioids, and am feeling good (quality of life: good). Am not addicted to opioids, good pain control on opioids—doctor’s: don’t mess with something that’s not broken! Am 74 years old, painful lesion in vertebrae (lesions also on liver and adrenal gland), hydrocodone 10 mg 2x day (mostly as needed)—I will eventually be disable and and die from this disease ... I will not (!!!) live life in pain (debilitating pain) with prostate cancer.

LDN helps rev up immune system. I take it periodically at bedtime. Zero side effects for me. Also, Beta 1,3D Glucan strengthens the immune system with no side effects. I have read that both rev up the immune system - help it stay strong.

I used noscapine. It's over the counter in Europe. I ordered the syrup and the pills. I don't know if it helped because I took a derth of herbs with it. I'm 5.5 years out. Lupron 2.5 years than Xtandi. I got sick of taking so many variables so I just take Zyflamend for prostate now. It's 25 dollars a month on Amazon. I'm almost 3 years on Xtandi. I was 31 psa at diagnosis, M1 stage, Gleason 9, bone Mets ( 3 on spine), 5 month doubling time. Osteopenia now which has been treated with Zometa. Currently I'm in some kind of dormancy. My PSA is 0.02, bone mets resolved, lymph nodes shrank. So I'm slugging it out this way. I also take desipramine ( an antidepressant) ironically controls pain and slows prostate cancer. Lipitor controls cholesterol and slows prostate cancer. I also take one aspirin a day controls pain and slows prostate cancer. Atenolol controls high blood pressure and slows prostate cancer. That is pretty much it.
