I know, mine shrank at least 8 inches! ;)

Good thing you had 2feet to work with..

And I didn't realize my balls had shrunk til somebody wrote about it here. Seriously though, impotence doesn't really matter if you have no libido.

EricE profile image
EricE in reply toBillNIttles

That's interesting. I feel just the reverse. I find that having no libido is more frustrating than having no erections.

So who's has bigger balls, policemen or firemen?

answer: Policemen, cause they sell more tickets....

Good Luck and Good Health.

i call mine the white headed snail...always tucked back into its shell with just his little white head pocking out. And as for the ball less sack hanging under his limp chin, well that is very similar to the loose piece of skin on my elbow.....FUCK CANCER

in reply to

Very descriptive! Thanks, you are a poet.. I agree, F@@@ cancer and the horse that it it road in on. Once it gets the upper hand on us it will tap dance us into the dust. I used to be muscular ,now I too have skin hangin off of my bones. You know that flabby wagging skin were my now non existent triceps used to be. I try not to look in the mirror , only with dim lights. I’m 57 but my skin looks like a 100 year old. . besides that I can’t complain . Compared to the extreme suffering others are currently going thru. I thank my lucky stars everyday. We all know how things can go south at any moment in time..

in reply to

well said dude.....there is always someone worse off than us. Im 57 too

in reply to

a 57 Chevy is a classic , not so sure about me 57 yr old with APC , feel like a rusty jalopy .But I’m glad to be alive. Peace to you . Us being the same age, if you don’t mind I’ll follow your progress..What do you love to do in your life? I’m a fan of nature and the great outdoors. I’m also in love with an angel. Hope that that you too have love in your life. Take care & F@@@ “C” pain and suffering. Enjoy what we can .......

in reply to

You are welcome to follow me, cheers. I'm big on nature and the outdoors, lots of fishing and hunting but that is slowing down of late for obvious reasons, nature is my church and religion. It is there that i get to see God.... So cool that you have someone with you, your 'angel'. I have some one i love but we are miles apart so only see each other every few months, i've alot of family close by and we all get on great so that is a major blessing, that's gold... By the way, nothing wrong with a rusty jalopy long as it gets ya from A to B.......

in reply to

A-B and beyond..til the tires fall off. Always wanted a 1961 car or bike.. Not going to obtain a car collection now.Sold my toys in these past 3 yrs. ...... Iam happy because my love is near by my side . A long distance relationship would be hard for us. That golden family is a godsend . Photo is my back yard in the Sonoran desert.25 miles from town. I remove diamond back rattlesnakes if they’re in my yard. 1 yesterday 2 today so far, a good day. I have a small puppy and a wife that loves tonbe in the garden .Theyre just coming out for the year . Up to the Colorado Rocky Mountains in a month.. Nature is heaven .. just watch out for the bears and rattlesnakes and it will be alright.......... Hang in there Kiwidave , and enjoy the high points on this roller coaster. Take care.

EricE profile image
EricE in reply to

Rattlesnakes....I'd have nightmares, but good on you for removing I'm assuming with a rake or something? You are brave. I'll take a herd of black bears over a garden snake that I don't see in the trail. Yeeeehhhhhahaeddd. But I love the desert. Went to NAU for a year.

in reply toEricE

NAU lumberjacks, I used to have that license plate. I have a snake stick and if you remain calm they are easily put in a garbage can and moved away from my doorstep about a mile or so. Rattlers are the only one here that we need to protect our puppy from . Don’t want her to accidentally step on a snake. I m not a big fan of snakes either but I do respect there place in the eco system . As you say just keep your eyes where you’re walking .. I’m betting on our Greathorned owls and red tail hawks to keep the snakes in check. Diamond backs normally evade humans at all cost. Most bites occur when people try to trap or kill the snake. Self defense .... it s easier for me to move them before I accidentally step on one while it’s slepping in the shade.

EricE in reply to

Hey That's them. I played on their hockey team for a year and enjoyed the country. I couldn't get used to living away from saltwater. I grew up in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest is a nice accommodation, closer to civilization that Alaska but still wild in some spots. I'm a big fan of owls and hawks. They are well fed up here too. My wife saw a snowy owl fly over the hood of her car once late at night. I envy your ability to see the stars in a T-Shirt down there. We get good stars up here but we have to be bundled up to see them usually.

in reply toEricE

Next year you have to come down before April. I’ll show you the desert. Drawback of AZ no water as you said. We have pigmy owls 3inches and a great horned That hoots to us at night. All birds are courting now for spring.

The outdoors is my religion too, with a good dog and a camera. But I bet I deal with more rain being near Seattle. Cheers Dave!

in reply toEricE

We need that rain down here in the SW.

in reply toEricE

Cheers to you too Eric.... we have a lot of rain down here in New Zealand too and winter closing in on us now....like your style dude.....much peace and happiness..cheers

Having my 2 useless jelly beans removed May first. Then good by to Lupron.

in reply toShooter1

Say Addios muchachitos ! Did it 9-16 and don’t regret it.. good luck and stay healthy and enjoy life.

EricE profile image
EricE in reply toShooter1

I didn't know that was an option. So if I do the snippy-snippy, I wouldn't need the Lupron?

in reply toEricE

I had one shot of lupron and that was enough....the nuts went 3 months after. No chemicals in my body and psa undetectable for 18 months and long may that last. I dont regret it

EricE profile image
EricE in reply to

Wow. That's great. I'm not sure I'm at the point where I could let mine go but it's something to talk to my dr. about. Thanks for the tip! That's a courageous choice. Huzzah!

in reply toEricE

You have T levels around 15 within hours of the procedure. They are steady and predictably low after that.

in reply to

That’s really good!

That’s hopefully true but for how long remains to be seen . I just thought it made sense to shut down the factory. I’ve had no shots ever since, my annul test results I should get soon . I do not miss those shots I was on every three months....I still have symptoms due to no. T.. I imagine that the more chemicals and pharmaceuticals that we do,the more stress on our organs. I do take another adt test drug... until that fails.. good luck EricE , keep smiling big guy! Life isn’t over for us yet.. there s suffering but take time to laugh at the hypocrisy of strong men being hamstrung by what in the past made us so strong physically. Our bodies can be whittled down but our faith and character must remain strong.. This is our lot.. Not the one we wished for . If we’re lucky we’re like the pony express riders of old switching horses every 25 miles until the mail is delivered. We ll switch treatments and horses in order to stay ahead of the wolf that trying to eat us. Sooner or later we are all going to be caught. But let’s give it our best shot.. Hope that you can take time in your day to forget all about this APC drama.. it ain’t over til the fat lady sings...

good words

EricE profile image
EricE in reply to

Those are good words. I've been telling people that cancer is like being chased into a beautiful valley by wolves. You look around and everything in the valley looks more beautiful and full of life. But those wolves are still chasing you. I'm going to think about the choice you made. It's a bold, strong choice. Thanks for the tip and the words.

in reply toEricE

The wolf’s are internal and always waiting to munch us. Like a Stephen King novel.....Only it’s our reality.. so keep the fire going , we keep the pack at bay. Someday our campfire will grow dim and the wolves will be there to clean up. We ‘re just part of the food chain..

EricE profile image
EricE in reply to

I lived the first part of my life in Alaska. I never believed in hunting wolves. Still don't. I like the idea of being part of the food chain.

in reply toEricE

It’s natures way.... can’t blame the wolf for eating, I don’t believe in their slaughter either... Alaska.. land of abundance .. Take care..

While I can be as empathetic as my heart and brain try, I cannot truly understand how this feels. I am so glad you are all so supportive and able to talk about this. It seems like the general population shivers if you mention the sexual side effects of treating this disease. I am so glad you all have such a good sense of what is important. I am grateful for EricE's sense of humor. It helps to keep me buoyed. Laugh on young one, laugh on!

EricE profile image
EricE in reply toMrsEricE

Love you Honey. My pony nose will always be yours. :)

in reply toMrsEricE

Society teaches sexual repression .. And ignorance.. We need much more humor here. At any given time someone is near death in the hospital or on hospice. The rest of us need to laugh and cry. My fight is to try to remain semi-sane and to keep anger and stress out of my heart.. Please enjoy this spring . Very nice that you are here. The men, we know we go nuts without “T” but the spouses see it all.. Keep each other smiling, that’s 9/10 th of the battle..

in reply toMrsEricE

To be able to laugh at the irony of life while facing suffering and an uncertain future is A useful diversion from the mundalities of living with APC .. the more I laugh the less I cry........... Mrs & EricE you are a great additions to the pack. Take it easy.

Hello everyone I am new to your forum and could use a little help I had my prostate removed in 2011 with radaiation shortly afterwards. I have been on Xtandi and Lupron for a little over over a year Before starting Xtandi my PSA was at 196 Since I began Xtandi and lupron my PSA has moved from 40 to 69 where it is currently. My T level is 21.

My MO is leaving it up to me if or when to move to Cemo.I have a break in my employment and need advice if this might be a good time to give cemo a shot.

All this is made even more complicated with the reality I fell great.

Thanks

HI, so I'm pretty new and welcome. I'm getting my prostate out on Thursday so I'm a bit behind you in treatment. But maybe I can help with two thoughts. I'm and IT Guy so if I had a window in my schedule that I could get treated under, I'd seriously consider taking it. I get very few holidays. Second, is your MO really on the fence? You might want to ask them "If it were you, in my position, what would you choose?" If I thought they were doing a good job I'd probably go with their recommendation even if I felt well. Good luck. Welcome to the site and listen to the old timers here. They are invaluable for a whole host of reasons. Here's to health. Cheers.
