People are dying with this disease-not funny

I am dieing from this disease as we speak. The cat is out of the bag again and I am heading south. Now I will be fighting again to control it with the help of my oncologist. I refuse to sit in a corner and die feeling sorry for myself. I get a chuckle out of this banter about brim and gator blood once in a while. Just as long as Patrick and Nal don't take offense I see nothing wrong with it. If I can't smile and laugh at things once in a while I might as well give up.

Sorry if I offended you - my husband Mike is running out of options too -
Dennis,
See Dr. Kwon at The Mayo Clinic...they think outside the box...keeping guys alive who were told to go to hospice...they have a team approach....I have 4 docs
Gus
Gus,
I will second that recommendation!!!! I’ve been fortunate to have Dr. Kwon as my primary OC for almost 3 years he’s a great Doc who also has a sense of humor and urgency. Even though he’s out of network for me I wouldn’t ever give him up.
I recommend watching some of the you tube videos of some papers he’s presented.
So what...everybody dies...how many times do you want to read my PSA is going up...ADT stopped working...Dr. Myers stated he loses far more patients to heart disease because of their lifestyle than to PCa...all the major cancer orgs say humor prolongs survival
This isn't humor Gus. It's stupidity. If you've got a gripe about BIRM, or Nal for that matter, why don't you just keep in your own funhouse, OK?
I would like to see you send out some positive vibes, how about that?

Humor is my Hobby.

There is a fine line between tragedy and humor. I attend some face-to-face cancer groups where people are highly metastatic and running out of options, and where a few of them die each year from their cancers. Yes, there is a whole bunch of talk about tumors and tests and treatments and medical options, ... but there is also a surprising amount of light-hearted social support, and even laughter. The weird humor is often a defense mechanism for venting underlying anxieties and fears. I tend to cut some slack when I see or hear it. But, yes, it is true that there is a time and a place and a reasonable amount for such things. And being on-line, without the benefit of seeing body language and facial clues to emotions and feelings, can make that social skill more difficult.
For everybody who's serious, anxious, fearful, and annoyed..... BIG HUGS!!!
For everybody who's wise-cracking and horsing around because it beats dissolving into a crying heap, sometimes .... BIG HUGS, too!!!
