Mindfulness/Meditation/Breathing techniques

Hi

Thanks for all your help on my previous questions about books and apps, I am glad I asked.

As you have been so helpful I have been wanting to start practicing some mindfulness/meditation /breathing techniques as I have read that they can help a lot with some ADHD traits. I imagine some techniques are easier than others so this is probably where I would need to start.

Do any of you use them and do you find they help?

Are they easy enough to learn?

Can you recommend where I should look to start?

Thanks in advance as I know you will deliver.

walking mindfulness seems to work for me. You pay attention to things around you instead of your thoughts. Maybe look for a certain flower or count puddles.

My therapist inDBT has been super helpful in helping me be in the moment. If this is an option for you, I highly recommend it. There’s the official workbook and you can use the strategies yourself if you can’t do the therapy.
