Has anyone tried the generic version of Mydayis? I was excited to try it because I heard the crash isn’t as intense compared to other stimulants. I’ve tried almost every stimulant available, but they’ve all had terrible side effects for me, including depression, anxiety, insomnia, and irritability. It felt pointless to continue using them since I built a tolerance quickly, yet remained overly sensitive to the crashes.
After discussing it with my doctor, I finally got a prescription for Mydayis. But when I went to pick it up, the pharmacy gave me the generic version from Sun Pharmaceuticals. They claim it’s the same as Mydayis, but I’ve read that generics sometimes aren’t as effective. Now, I’m hesitant to start taking it, worried that I’ll experience the same side effects as before. I’d hate to convince myself it’s working just out of hope, only to be overwhelmed by side effects again. Has anyone else had this experience with the generic version?

I finally gathered the courage to take it today. It’s been about seven hours ( it's suppose to last at least 12 hours), and I’m already starting to crash a bit. The crash isn’t as intense as what I experienced with Adderall years ago, so I guess it's true that this one has a smoother come-down. I do have a bit of a headache, and some depressive thoughts crept in, which makes focusing nearly impossible right now. However, this morning, my concentration was spot-on, and I’m impressed that the 'high' wasn’t too intense—just enough to get the job done without being overwhelming. Overall, I think I like it, but the depressive thoughts are a downside.
You can also ask you doctors to check a box requesting the brand and not the generic. It may cost more if insurance won’t cover the brand to the extent it does on the generic. You will be able to “see” if there is a difference. Try it for one month and if no difference continues with generic
