Does anyone know if CHADD has an actual physical building in the Wake Forest, NC area? I've not seen any. If not, it would be a great idea for CHADD to open a physical building in Wake Forest since there are plenty of citizens that have ADD/ADHD and other similar learning issues.

Dear Zilmita:
Thank you for contacting CHADD's National Resource Center on ADHD. Our national office is in Maryland. We have a small staff dedicated to providing support, evidence based resources, and advocacy for those with ADHD. Our national network of support groups are run by volunteers. If you are looking to connect with others, you are welcome to join any of our virtually held meetings. chadd.org/affiliate-locator/
If you have further questions, please let us know.

It looks like the nearest CHADD affiliate to Wake Forest, NC is a bit south of Richmond, VA.• From what I've read about affiliate groups on CHADD.org, it looks like anyone can start one if they are a CHADD member (paid membership), if there's isn't already a CHADD affiliate in their area. I've been considering starting a group where I live, but my budget is so tight that the membership fee is a bit of a hurdle for me (even though it's only $75/yr).
For other ways to find an ADHD support group in your area, check for meetups (Meetup.com, Facebook, and maybe Craiglist are a few sites you can check).
I saw a few listings on Psychology Today, but they are probably clinical ADHD support groups, not social ones. The way to find out would be to ask.
