I've currently been in Strattera for about 1. 5 years. I'm taking a low dose (25mg) and have noticed that I'm starting to lose focus, and my mind wanders, about 5pm. Unfortunately, I typically work until 7pm, so losing my meds really works against me. I don’t want to take another dose later in the day, afraid it’ll screw with my sleep; so, I started doubling up the dose in the morning. It worked really well for the 1st 2 weeks, and now I'm back to the same problem. I'm the type who tries to figure things out before calling the doctor, and am stuck.
Any ideas? I'm prob going to schedule an appt. with the doctor next week, but am trying to find a quick solution until I talk with him.

I have the same issue. I work until 7 or 8 in the evening, but my Vyvanse extended release doesn't last that long. My doctor prescribed me a low dose (15 mg) instant release Adderall to take in the late afternoon. Because it's instant release, it doesn't last nearly as long as the XR, so it doesn't affect my sleep. Maybe something to talk to your doctor about?
Strattera did not work for for a different reason. I had a hard time urinating while on it.
(Side effect)
Mamamichl mentioned trying the extended release. If that don't help ask your doc to maybe to try Qelbree. It helps me a little. However, nothing has worked as good as a stimulant for me, but due to hypertension I'm only able to take a non stimulant. If your able to take something like Adderall I would go for it, for me there was nothing like it, I felt like the king focus while on it. lol.. Good luck!
