Strattera

My 14 yo daughter started on Strattera after trying out a few stimulants with little success in the last 8 months. She has a major nausea with 40mg of Strattera (it’s been a little over a week now) and I’m wondering if anyone has similar experience. Does it get better?

I went to see her in person, and she took me off of Adderall and started me on Strattera, which didn't work as well as Adderall. We then moved to TX, and I found a GREAT PA who said I should not bother taking Strattera if it was not working that well.

Is anyone on Strattera and how is it working? My doctor cut me off of Adderall after I tested negitive on the drug test. Ugh!

Hi, I have ADD but I find that all the medications give me anxiety and i cant take them. strattera doesn't work and makes me physically sick. Does anyone have experience with this type?

Hi there, I an on day 4 of 200mg Qelbree after switching from Strattera (itchiness, rash, and severe irritability). I've developed a strong appetite since then that is very difficult for me to control, but everything I read says it may cause decreased appetite and weight loss instead.

But, since starting Strattera the symptoms have decreased, and are almost totally gone. I'm not on any other meds, so I can't give them credit; and theynworsen when the meds are skipped for more than a day.

So, my question is this: Why/ how does a nonstimulant, like Strattera, balance my anxiety levels? I could see this from a stimulant med, but a nonstimulant can too?

We’ve tried Jornay, Adderal, Concerta, intuniv and Strattera for ADHD and all have made her tics more frequent and noticeable. We stopped meds about 3 weeks ago and her tics have returned to being barely noticeable.

I've currently been in Strattera for about 1. 5 years. I'm taking a low dose (25mg) and have noticed that I'm starting to lose focus, and my mind wanders, about 5pm. Unfortunately, I typically work until 7pm, so losing my meds really works against me.

Stimulants are not good since it contradicts my medical history (so he says) and non stimulants like Strattera and Qelbree exacerbates my RLS (restless leg syndrome) condition and tinnitus.

Strattera (atomoxetine) takes 6 weeks to build up to efficacy, and as we hung in there for those weeks he got worse and worse. Mostly afternoons he was so irritated and acted out. His behavior kept escalating - cursing, lying, defying teachers, and just so angry.

I've now been on Strattera for about 18 months .. I've found it works well for me, and the side effects aren’t near what I hear others discuss (especially those on stimulants).

The Strattera I'm taking is having an effect and I'm really anxious to find a group. I live in Sacramento, CA

I am on Strattera as well as Lexapro and Wellbutrin now. I was upset at first because I didn't want to be medicated, but now, I am thankful because I feel so much better.
