What Strattera dose worked for you and what changes did you notice?

Sometimes I thought Strattera might be helping a little but then the thing I noticed improvement in didn't last... so maybe it wasn't the Strattera helping...

strattera medication

Just wondering if anyone has taken Strattera for ADHD. My psychiatrist just put me on it starting at 40mg and said it should take up to 3 weeks to take effect . Dosage will go up .

Can I Reduce The Symptoms of ADHD Taking These Supplements?

Because of that, I am afraid of using Strattera and ADHD medications in general. I thought that maybe I can reduce the symptoms without side effects using supplements.

My 9 Year old has Adhd and on autism Spectrum.

We are giving her Adhd medication strattera 10mg, I think its causing her to scream a lot and depression, her doctor is insisting to increase the dosage to 20mg. I think it will cause her more depression and anxiety. I dont know whether to increase her dosage or change the pill all together.

Strattera question

If anyone has experience with Strattera and side effects or experiences I should watch out for I'd be interested to know what to expect. This is new to me. Thanks in advance!

Looking for medication advice for ADHD-inattentive type and anxiety

In the past, I tried Concerta and Strattera and both made me feel really jittery, sick and dizzy. A nurse practitioner prescribed me Adderall recently but after reading about it some, I am afraid to take it. Any advice about this would be helpful.

Any experience having a child on 2 different non stimulants (for example Strattera and Guanfacine) and how it controls ADHD

I am sure I have seen somewhere in this forum one of the parents saying that they have their child successfully treated with 2 non stimulants at the same time- Atomoxetine and Guanfacine given daily but I think different times of day. Please can partners who’s children are successfully on such combos

New To The Community - The Start to My Journey

He first started me on Wellbutrin, which I had an allergic reaction to, and then Strattera which made me extremely irritable and I told my doctor it relieved symptoms of my anxiety, but I didn't find that it helped much in other areas.

strattera guanfacine - would you add a stimulant??

Curious if anyone’s kid takes strattera, guanfacine, AND a stimulant? We see our psychiatrist who we love tomorrow so we will ask - but I’m curious… My son is 12 - 6th grade, 5’6” 117lbs and is finally on therapeutic dose of strattera 60mg.

Qelbree Side Effects

Strattera, which is a similar medication, made him incredibly ill so we had to take him off that after two weeks.

Strattera for mood and ADHD

We have been told that Strattera is a drug that can help with both ADHD and mood. Does anyone have anything to share on this topic? His biggest problems are academics, mood, and executive function.

Need someone Knowledgeable in adhd medications

Strattera - took to stop tic from clonodine. Took one pill, was like a wound up monkey. Couldn't even stay in school that day. So I stopped that. All these meds no appetite, lost weight, bad constipation . Concerta was the last one tried and helped the most with symptoms.

Adderall versus Strattera?

Hi. Our eleven year old boy, who has ADHD and dyslexia, has done pretty well on 5 mg of Adderall daily. His focus has improved significantly, and he's less hyperactive. But his loss of appetite is serious enough that, at our doctor's recommendation, we're considering Straterra. The research suggests

Strattera/atomoxetine

My 15 yo son just began straterra/atomoxetine. How long has it taken for your body to get used to the medication? He is complaining he's so tired.

Gabapentin for anxiety - mood dysregulation?? Looking for others experiences..

Both stimulant molecules and Strattera at lowest dose caused irritability. Guanfacine seemed to work pretty well but we still saw room for improvement. High doses just caused a flat affect. The Doc feels that there is a lot more going on that Guanfacine just can’t cover.

6 year old Starting Strattera

He started him on strattera, which he said had to do with my son's hyperactivity, as he was thinking a stimulant might exacerbate the symptoms.

Spouse doesn't believe in ADHD

Started on strattera and am in shock at how much easier it is for me to do basic things like respond to emails, file paperwork, put the laundry away etc. My husband has been pretty dismissive of this whole process since I started seeking a diagnosis 6 months ago.

No motivation or attempts to complete schoolwork or any task beyond...

She has bounced from Adderal to Strattera to Ritalin currently to treat ADHD. Failing 3 classes presently her senior yr and is a bright, talented girl. 504 accomodations are not helping. We have never felt so helpless or saddened about her future. Counseling for her as well over the past years.
