Let’s start by saying, “Happy National Mental Health Day”. Today, like everyday, let’s take 30 minutes out of the day and do something that will help our mental health. Forget work! Forget other obligations, just do something for you.
As we’re all learning, taking time out for our ourselves is not only good for someone like us, with ADHD and other health issues, but for everyone. So, I’m going out to take a hike, play with my dog, and going to spend time reading a book. What are you going to do?

I've found a few things that work for me. First, I prioritize self-care and make time for activities that bring me joy, like painting or going for long walks. Secondly, I've recently started incorporating mindfulness exercises into my routine, which have been super helpful in managing stress and anxiety. And speaking of anxiety, I've also found Buspirone (BuSpar) to be really effective for me. If you're curious about it, you can check out mentalhealth.com/medication... for more information.
