why is it so hard to have a relationship with partners and to be quite happy I feel he doesn’t understand me so how to you find happy medium in relationships I feel put down all time

It can be difficult. I managed to stay married for 20 years, despite having undiagnosed ADHD most of that time. There were issues, I found myself apologizing a lot, I felt like I was often missing the mark.

Getting my ADHD diagnosis and learning a lot about ADHD has helped me to develop more self-acceptance. (I'm now divorced, but I've shared some relationship advice and resources in other replies on this forum.)

To start you off, I think some ADHD relationship advice that I've come across might help.

Jessica McCabe is the founder and host of the HowToADHD YouTube channel. She has a couple of good videos about relationships.
