I hate it when i fidget and move around frequently; but i can't help it!
It feels like my body has a mind of it's own and there's nothing i can do about it.
Do you have anything that can help?

Hello butterfly7890
Welcome to the group!
There are few things you can do to cut down on fidgeting (adhd symptom)
Fidget spinners are small, can be used under a desk or table and discreet.
Regular workout (yeah daily- but it really helps)
Meditation - i do a 20 min one daily, then smaller ones throughout the day.
Hope these ideas help out
Best regards

Hiya Butterfly. I read that figeting is a way for ADHD folks to maintain focus when in a boring or uninteresting situation, or otherwise when it is challenging to keep attention. In this context it is a normal thing for you and can be helpful. Maybe when with others you can find some ways that are not so noticeable. My adult son bounces his leg so fiercely that it shakes the entire sofa! But I understand that it is a coping mechanism for him so I try to keep from complaining. 🤐 What he does sometimes instead is to roll a piece of cloth between his fingers... I know this probably sounds weird but it works for him. Everyone is individual though and you will need to find out what works for you.God bless.
