Isolation

Have you felt all your life isolated and removed from the societal reality? That is how I have felt all my life. From the earliest age, I was out of it. I was a social misfit and excluded by the communities and the public schools. I was usually not paying attention, because I felt lost and isolated from social reality and social self confidence. All my life I have fought it, but it seems like I am still a long way from ever fitting in and being part of the social reality. The World has always been fit in completely, or be excluded. And it has gotten worse, not better over time.

I have felt the same way for a very, very long time. I want to share a couple of things that really resonated with me, perhaps they will resonate with you too.

I’m in no way attempting to diagnose you. I will say that this poem and video started me on the path to answering the very same questions you’re struggling with. The CHADD community also encouraged me to investigate more when I was feeling unsure and confused about possibly being on the spectrum.
