I am a 74 year old retired Counselor/College Professor, with 40 plus years experience working with people with disabilities (including students with ADD/ADHD and TBI). I was diagnosed as having ADD Complex (with Anxiety and Focus) issues a few years ago, and did ok for a long time, until I retired in 2012. Without the structure of the work environment etc., I feel lost, have times of depression and anxiety and extreme exhaustion. In addition, I suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury a few years ago, but have had no followup from a NeuroPsychiatrist. I have been unable to find a therapist or physician in my are who will accept Medicare (though I have a Medicare Supplement Insurance via United Healthcare). I am seeking advice regarding treatment/ evaluation/ etc. In retirement, I am working part time as a Minister of the Gospel.

You may have already done so, but have you considered connecting with the local CHADD chapter for help and direction? Or how about a community clinic that many times have lists of resources available, or even your church community? Wishing you the best and hope you will consider posting where you found success.

Thank you for your input. There is not a local CHADD Chapter near my city, and I may try the county mental health. I have contacted the "Help Nurse" for my Medicare Supplement Insurance, and I am waiting for a reply. I will post as I find additional information.
