Frustrated and tired

I got diagnosed 5-6 yrs ago and basically had support from the therapist who diagnosed me. I finally was starting to see a therapist late last yr but now I’m have to find a new due to a change in insurance. Luckily I’ve been able to keep taking my vyvanse.

Since I’ve been diagnosed I’ve been watching YouTube videos to try and figure what I should be doing to help myself get organized but nothing seems to be working. I’m living with my parents and when I try to explain how it might be best for me my mom says that wouldn’t work for her so I’ll have to try and figure something else out.

My mom expects me to have all the answers when it comes to ADHD. She hasn’t tried to research anything and if I try and tell about something I find in an article or video she’ll say something like “is that a real thing” or she won’t take it seriously. Its gotten to the point where I don’t want to be around my parents. Would it be too much to expect my parents to do some research about AHDH after I got diagnosed?
