Honestly, just reach out to her. I wish my brother would care enough to try and reach me. My brother makes fun of me and doesn't understand what a struggle daily life is. I would just be there are let her know you care. You could always do a little research and just understand how ADHD affects people. I wouldn't take things to personally either. In my case I say things bluntly without realizing I am doing it. Try not to make her feel like she is different either. I hope this helps some. Sorry I am a little scattered in my thoughts right now.
Good for you for looking into how to do this. People with ADHD are so often misunderstood. We need more people like you who want to understand what it's like for us (and help us understand how our ADHD effects you). There's a quick read called Loving Someone with Attention Deficit Disorder by Susan Tschudi. I mention this one because it's a good overview and it's fairly short. There are lots of other great resources for people who really want to learn. Maybe read up a little and then absolutely just reach out to your sister and just ask her. Let her know that you're trying to learn too- that should go a long way.
Good luck!
