I have both. There is no connection between the two that I know of. I've had ADHD my whole life (I'm 54), and my tinnitus started a few months ago.

I have had tinnitus since birth, as far as I'm aware (I can't recall ever not having it) and ADHD is just wired into my brain though I wasn't diagnosed till 32. They don't seem related at all, though I do have vertigo that is only eased with stimulants. My doctors don't understand why, though!

A lot of people have a natural low level of tinnitus, which most people without ADHD don't notice, because we have ADHD we are more sensitive to it. The ADHD is the primary I'd say, the tinnitus (or us noticing it more than others) is secondary. But now that I've read this post, it's got louder. :-)

I have both as well. Some days the tinnitus is worse than others but the same could be said about my ADHD, too. The tinnitus doesn't bother me all that much, it doesn't keep me from sleeping or when I'm trying to concentrate. It's just there kind of hanging out. :-) And yes, mine got louder since I read the post as well. haha
