There really seems to be no magic bullet for this condition. I think that self-awareness in your environment and awareness of others is needed almost constantly. This seems to hold true: We don't seem to see or know that there are boundaries and how to operate within those boundaries. Sometimes you ask yourself: "You mean there are lines?" That's why many adults with ADHD operate "outside the system" because the tendency is for us think differently than others. It's an advantage if you can channel that feature of your personality toward helping others or making something better. Good day to you.

I certainly struggle with self control. I think that’s the part that my meds help with the most - they give me a chance to stop and ask myself what the best coarse of action is rather that just deciding as I go.

That’s awesome, my meds also help but one thing I struggle on and let me know what you think. Ex: I had to empty out all the water in my above ground pool because there were Little Rock’s underneath it and I was afraid of it eventually making a hole and then my pool would leak so after I emptied the water out and sweep the floor I put it back and set it up and started putting water back in it and as it was filling up with water not only did I accidentally unfortunately turn the pool in the direction where the pump now cord doesn’t reach the outlet so I had to get an extension cord and you’re supposed to make sure that you smooth out the bottom so there’s no wrinkles well my second attempt there were any rocks underneath it but unfortunately I made new careless mistakes that I didn’t make the first time. Does that make sense I feel like I rush through things without thinking ahead

yes, sorry it took so long to reply. I totally understand what your saying. Unfortunately, other than meds, really the only thing you can do is practice. Whenever you find you are about to do something, even little things, just stop and think about it, is this a good idea?, do you have everything you need?, and is now a good time to do it? It doesn't have to take long if it's not complicated, but larger projects should take a little more time. Over time you can train your mind to stop and think more often. It's not perfect of course but I know I've improved since I made that reply.
