My 14 yo daughter started on Strattera after trying out a few stimulants with little success in the last 8 months. She has a major nausea with 40mg of Strattera (it’s been a little over a week now) and I’m wondering if anyone has similar experience. Does it get better? Needless to say, her appetite is almost non-existent due to nausea.

Strattera experience?
Those do not sound like common side effects. I am not sure what symptoms she is hoping to stop. But if she is looking for help with focus and mood have you considered Gunfacine? It is not a controlled medication so it can be mailed to your home.
It would really be helpful to work with a child Psychartist, if she is not already.
Sorry for the bad side effects. You could also look at Wellbutrin, our son has had great success with this medication.
We are always here to support you.
It's a common side effect, and was short lived.
I get nauseous due to stress, but I do t think it was a correlation to the meds for me. If she’s having major side effects, I recommend getting a gene sight test. It will take her specific genetics and mix them with all mental health medications. It will tell you what meds to stick away from due to adverse side effects and the extremity of them, though it doesn’t tell you which side effects she will have.
