Hi, everyone! Has anyone started giving/using generic Strattera? Have you noticed any behavioral changes? Thanks!

Generic Strattera
My son is currently on Strattera. I have noticed he is a little more focused, but he hasn't been on the medication for very long, a few weeks. I'm still watching him to see if there are any negative behaviors, however so far everything is going well.
My son is on atomoxetine (generic strattera). When he first started using it, he went through a significant tantrum phase for about a week. Then he leveled out and seemed to benefit greatly from it. His side effects, though, were stomach issues. We found a way to work around those, though, if you want to hear about that.
In fact, we took him off the medicine for a couple of weeks due to stomach issues, and we noted a definite worsening of behaviors.
My son was taking Strattera for about 8 weeks and we noticed a very little improvement at school and a huge personality change. He was emotional, irritated, arguing a lot , just not happy. We took him off and started Focalin which works better.
Hope this helps. Take care.
My daughter has been happily on Strattera for 7 years. We got the generic this past fall and I've seen a dramatic personality change. This is what I was looking to see if anyone else has had the same experience. Thanks!
My son (16 yr old) was on Concerta for about 1.5 years, but wanted to try something different because of the nausea and loss of appetite. We started on Atomoxentine and stuck with it for the 8 weeks. It didn't work and caused anxiety and depression. Doctor stopped medication and we are still recovering, 3 weeks in and depression seems to be improving, but anxiety is still bad, he hasn't attended school in 3 weeks. We are not certain the medication change was the sole cause but it was the only significant change we made.
