Hi everyone!

I hope you are doing well!

I am Saury Ramos Torres, and I am one of the research team members for the following study: Section 504 study: “Understanding and improving access to Section 504 among students with disabilities”.

We would like to interview parents/caregivers with children with disabilities receiving services through Section 504 and we are also recruiting youth who are between 12 and 22 years old who applied for and/or receive support under Section 504.

Potential participants can use the following link to complete the consent form and the Parents and caregivers must complete a consent form for youth who are between 12 and 17 years old. redcap.vanderbilt.edu/surve...

Also, I am attaching the flyer of the study. Feel free to share with youth who might be interested in participating in the interview.

We know you are busy. Thank you for sharing your experience and considering sharing this with your youth and/or other youth/families who may be interested.

Thank you and have a nice day!

Saury Ramos Torres

Thanks for working on this much needed study. We're you considering parents perspective on the 504 plan.

Gotta be honest, not many kids in elementary, middle or even high school ask for or understand their 504 plan.

Maybe college age they start to understand the value of this assistance.

If I could make a suggestion, maybe include the parent/opinion.

Best if luck!
