Welcome!
Hello BeautifulJerusalem,
Thank you for contacting CHADD National Resource Center on ADHD. There's an organization called Caddra similar to CHADD, they are located in Canada, here is the link caddra.ca/ Perhaps you can contact them for local support. Here is some information you can read on your free time. chadd.org/adhd-news/adhd-ne... and chadd.org/adhd-weekly/helpi... Here at CHADD we offer a course for parent, it's called parent-to-parent. chadd.org/parent-to-parent/ hopefully these resources help you and daughter understand ADHD.
If there is anything else you need, please let me know.
Thank you,

As a starting point, I highly recommend a looking video by Barkley... Something like "50 tips for parents of kids with ADHD"
There are also Hallowell's books which are considered by many to be the ADHD bible.
Finally, there are some good channels on YouTube, but of course, you need to be careful not to fall down the misinformation rabbit hole. Personally I recommend "How to ADHD" as a starting point.
I've also heard good things about "the essential guide to raising complex kids" by Elaine Taylor-Klaus, though I'm having a tough time getting into it because it's bringing up a lot of unpleasant things from my childhood. That doesn't mean it's a bad book, but rather that she has a deep understanding of some of the challenges we experience.
Hope this is helpful!
