Welcome to the group. We are so happy you joined us on this journey of parenting. I am wondering if you could start with your child's regular doctor and ask them to refer your child to special support. This can often assist becuase it is someone inside the medical system.

Were you wanting to pay for a private specialist?

The school system is also a place to get support if your child is enrolled in school. You could write a short letter requesting an assessment for service ( this could be academic, social-emotional and other).

We are here for you and want you know know this journey is challenging, but most of us have been through the rough times together.

I know we are all busy but you can read older message on a variety of topics ( lying, cheating, bad grades, meltdowns etc.) All of these messages are anonymous so hope you can feel like you can share if you need to.
