My niece who will be 9 next month has add . She is on medication but when i was her age with adhd and on medication ,;i don't rember being as spaced out as she is and not wanting to do thing . The thing is she dose not want to do much and dose not eat much witch I know is because I was like that. She use ro be so nice and sweet . Now we can't even have a conversation with out her wanting to be right and she won't even sit in her own chair . She copys everything her 3 year sister dose . Its to the point where even my brother in law mother dose not want her to come back . She even told my sister who is her step mom she hates her. She dose thing to see what kind of reaction she can get from you . She has a 7 year old brother at her mom house and she believes everything he tell her . Its to the point where we don't even want to be around her . My sister and brother in law have a hard time with her going to bed . My sister this past weekend gave her a birthday party. Before the party even start she was being disrespectful to my sister and her dad that my sister had get away and come over to start setting up. My mother can't even watch her and my 3 year old niece because they fight and my 9 year old niece make myb3 year old niece cry .

What should we do ?

It does not sound like she is very stable on her medication although I have a grandson who has a lot of problems with irratability and anger. Everyone is different, there are other problems associated with ADHD , ODD, anxiety etc. Have you spoken to her doctor about this? It is hard to love a child who isn't lovable but they need it even more.
