A therapist or someone with counseling experience (some times religious leaders are trained in this) is probably a good idea for your daughter, and to help you navigate how to handle her father.

My cousin had a father who was largely MIA and making promises but not keeping them, and I know it hurt him a lot.

My grandsons father has never been involved in their lives. He doesn't even live in our state, alcohol and drug abuse, too.

We tell the boys all the time that he made choices that make him incapable of being a good dad.

Make sure you tell her this is not her fault and it has nothing to do with her.

Not what you're looking for?
