Need advice on natural remedies maybe oil ex... to help with ADHD. My family have decided that meds is not for my son

Hello, it took us 3 different medications over 3 years to come to this decision, too. My son now takes Wellbutrin 2x a day and uses an excellent, potent CBD oil 2-3x day. (The taste is terrible, so we drop about 7-8 drops on the nape of his neck and rub it in. Close to the cerebellum for quick absorption).

On stimulant meds, he did see some improvement with focus and control, but the “coming down” at night was often unbearable to deal with. Anger, etc. He is also a Type 1 diabetic, and the appetite loss affected that, and his growth.

Another heartbreaking, awful side effect was the onset of trichotillomania (hair pulling disorder). He had no idea he was doing it, it could’ve been happening in his sleep even. He pulled 1/2 of the hair on the top of his head out and some eyelashes. The dr said he’s seen it before, called it a tic. That’s when we added guanfacine. It didn’t help so we dropped all conventional ADD meds and switched to bupropion (Wellbutrin). It’s being used off label to help people with ADHD and I have to say it’s working. We’ve added the CBD oil, and my 14 year old son said it is an “awesome difference, and he’s so happy that it exists.”

You have to keep researching, and have to keep pushing for what works for you. If you would like the name of the CBD oil we use, let me know.

Music, poetry a stress ball. He have to learn to focus and calm him self down. I dont know really I tried no meds for a year with my son only because I felt my generation didn't do it none of my family members was on meds for behavior so. we just discipline when he didn't act appropriate but I was getting so tired and stressed and the doctor told me' if you have asthma what do you take an asthma pump right' so I finally gave in and when we found the right meds that worked, omg I had my son back!
