My grandson is 7 and has add and my daughter and her husband finally put him on Concerta tome release. It’s been about two months and he was doing well but the last couple weeks he has been irratibke and aggressive especially at school. His anxiety has gotten really bad. He doesn’t want to go to school and when he gets there it like a light switch he gets to the classroom door and looses it. Will hit and run out of the room. Today they had a med check and his pediatrician changed him to intuv. Hoping this work better for him.

I can feel your pain my son is 9 years old and I am going through the same thing with him every day I am getting a phone calls from the school that he is out of control refusing to do work or plan out doing anything to be picked up because he doesn’t want to be there at all . I honestly don’t know what to do anymore his therapist was saying he needs to be hospitalized before he hurts himself or others the doctors switched his meds around and he seems to have gotten more aggressive one minute he is as sweet as can be the next minute he is cussing, throwing things or hitting.. I hope things get better with your grandson

Yes he was on adderall but then they switched him to vyvanse 30 mg and abilify 2mg , buspar 5 mg and Zoloft 25 mg and at night he takes clonidine 0.1 mg with 20 mg of melatonin because he doesn’t sleep
