I hate when I hear a parent that does not have a child with ADHD or a uneducated person say ADHD is not real it's just a badly behaved child that needs discipline it is very much real I have 4 children 1 has ADHD and there is a clear difference in behavior

That drives me crazy. And what that does is make suffering parents shut down.

We adopted our son as an infant. His birth mom and half sister both have ADHD. He has it. When people give ignorant advice, I ask them to introduce me to a family where their advice to manage ADHD children works.

It’s also very frustrating when it’s a close family member that always says “he’s fine, he doesn’t needs meds” 😳 ugh........
