Today I overheard 2 parents talking despicable things about my son... One said I'm so tired of the D*** kid that can stay still in class, hands to himself or stay in class. I knew they were referring to him. Unfortunately Sebastian is having such a hard time staying in class. I did gave them that look like really 2 adults critizing a kid...my kid. I totally understand that they don't like the fact that my son disrupts class and can keep hands to himself... it broke my heart and I decided not to confront them because the teacher was absent and I just didn't think it was the time to say hey...listen my son has a condition and sorry is he is behavior is bothering you but we are definitely working on it.
After she seem me walking with him ..they tried to lower their voice but it was to late.
Now, I need an advice of what to do. I had learned not to approach people when they feel angry or frustrate and she seem mad.
Should I talk to the teacher and maybe she can help me to talk to them and just explain that if they have any concerns to come to me or her. Please will judge without knowing the facts...
What should I do? Talk or just let them be.

Parents that do not have to face these issues on a day-to-day basis cannot truly understand that the impulsivity cannot be controlled. It can sometimes be redirected in to positive actions, but not always. I wish all parents could be educated on the behaviors of a child with Autism and ADHD. It would help keep them from hurting the feelings of special needs children and their parents. Best of luck in talking to the other parents!
Nice move,it's important that our kid's environment should understand them. Most of the people around them at home and school should provide them a comfort feeling so that they can be just themselves. An emotional support is very much necessary.
That breaks my heart. I've seen the eye rolls but never heard someone say something so pathetic. I think you handled it much better than I would. Good job! I think schools need to educate all school staff and students on ADHD, ADD,Autism, etc..... If kids were more educated it would probably cut down on finger pointing and bullying.
This had to be heartbreaking for you. Just an idea for your son's teachers: instead of the usual coffee mugs, gift cards, etc. for holidays, end of the year gift, I started buying my son's teachers the wonderful Russell Barkley book on ADHD in the classroom. It cost a little more, but I hoped it was well worth the cost and would be something they could refer to on an on-going basis. Good luck!
I talked his teacher and principal, they seem to understand his needs. We just keep reminding him that he is a great kid and we understand his bad days.
