My ten-year-old son was recently diagnosed with mild ADHD by his therapist. We had additional paperwork filled out by his teacher which is now come into the therapist. As I don't know anything about this from a parent angle. My sister has ADHD but that was some 30 years ago that I had to deal with that on a regular basis and her type is totally different. I don't know what to do next for my son.
This sounds really bad but with it being the end of the year and the holidays coming up I would like us both to have the best we can to have a great and wonderful holiday season. instead of trying to figure out what's going on. So who do I call next?

Hi there I'm new to this site to. But my daughter has been diagnosed with ADHD since she was 6 and she's on the high end. The best is staying in open and continuous contact with therapist and with the school sometimes we have to be a little forward with the schools we are their biggest advocates. I even still have stuff to learn after all this time, research research❤
I think your question depends on your son! Is he having adhd symptoms that are affecting his school life? Or issues at home? A lot of these kids do have a 504 plan with school accommodations that help with problem areas, for this you can contact the schools psycologist or social worker! As for home there are many things that can be done to help with problems at home it just depends what those problems are! My son is on a very strict schedule with limited screen time and this has helped many of our home issues! Also i would recommend the book smart but scattered! Was a huge help for my son and our family!
