My son is not on any medicine. He goes though everything. Hes does understand that his action are not what he suppose to be doing. I tell him all the time that he is not suppose to be doing certain thing....but he still does it anyway. How do i get him to u understand?. I know you have to him in a certain way that he does understand. But that does not work. Any advise.?

If he does have ADHD, it's considered a developmental delay to areas in the frontal lobe that make execution of learned memory difficult. So he knows it, he just can't make the neural connections to use it at a given moment.

I touch and agree with Mmagusin. It is a delay in our children, therefore, typical ways of parenting are less effective. For my daughter I allowed my frustration with the impact of ADHD and sensory integration to impact my respect of her as a person. We tried everything but medication (diet, Brain Balance, supplements, occupational therapy and counseling). For us, supplements, medication and counseling have helped tremendously. Like all children, my daughter wants to be her best and do her best. Because of how ADHD and sensory impacts her (it is out of her control) she just needs some support to be it and do it. I wish you all the best!
