Hi everyone,

In my first post "A work in progress" I talked about discovering the 1,000,000 step challenge that is set between 1st of July to September 30th ... So 92 days to complete the challenge.

I am now five weeks in and this is my progress so far:

Steps w5 = 166,285 steps

Distance walked = 143 Km

Hours walked = 27 hours

Brisk walking = 1234 mins (20H34)

Calories 10k4 kcal

I have now completed 831,845 steps since 1st July and still on my improved target.

Looking at my results the higher Diabetes Step Challenge of 1,700,000 steps is achievable at my current walking level. I thought it best now to own up to secretly setting my target at 2,000,000 steps in a quarter.

It's Wednesday and tomorrow I'm going to Derbyshire through till Sunday and looking forward to walking old, familiar paths. I think I'll have to plan that at the end of September to stay for a week and get out and do a bit more.
