The thing about a cloud walk is that it's available to you regardless of surroundings. We had quite the schlepp yesterday (largely owing to me not appreciating that 'Meadowhall 15 mins' was for cyclists, ahem... and then realising it would be going dark soon so the return leg needed to be my unfavourite 'brisk' walk, ugh), not only under the M1 and its associates, but alongside extremely littered waterways.

The sky at blight
Oh, dear……shame about all the litter. A lot in the news recently about polluted rivers 🥲.
Yes, shame about the litter, but well done for your cloud walk! Hope the brisk return felt at least rewarding, once you got home!
A YoungGM was with us and he has long legs (and his OT says slow paces are painful for him) so he was back at the car - and a passer by was concerned to alert us to the dodgy youf lurking round the vehicle 😆 Only rewarding looking at the Fitbit stats - disagreed with MrGM and I quite badly, rough night and definitely no walk the next day.
Oh dear. Sounds like you could use some great family walks, where everything falls in place, the clouds, the route, the laughter, the chats.
I seldom get these with my family, as son also presses ahead, and hubby often wants to walk faster. So they’re precious rare occasions, and the majority of my happy walks have been by myself.
So sending you some good walk vibes! (Music may help too? Some songs I discovered are listenable from Spotify at open.spotify.com/playlist/7... )
