Up early and did my walk but weather a bit yucky. No rain just cloudy and humid. Did more or less the same route as last week , stayed away from the riverside as a lot of rain last night everything would be damp and muddy. Tried a bit slow jogging every 10 mins of walk for 30 seconds Will only do this twice a week don’t want to push my luck, as was reading that 30 seconds of jogging can help your bones osteoporosis.

Back home for breakfast and get stuck into making soup for tomorrow and stew for today.

Have a good weekend🤗

Hey good for you Doris as your persistence will pay off because load bearing exercise increases muscle strength and helps to strengthen bones even with osteoporosis.

What really strengthens bones quickly is to run up hill for a short distance then take it easy as they respond to the load bearing strain placed onto them.

So when you’re with hubby next time at the bottom of a steep slope say see you at the top… 🏃‍♀️

You have a lovely day now Doris the suns out here now. 🌞

Ha ha that’ll be right. Will be in hospital along the road. Yea meant to help build bones but not sure about severe osteo. Will do twice a week 30 seconds slow jogging. I’m not a heavy jogger feet low to ground but not that heavy only 7 stone so will have to take care. I suppose walking briskly just the same as Japanese slow jogging I think 🤔

Sun a wee bit coming out so hopefully.

I love the Japanese slow jogging. I started doing it a couple of weeks ago following the c25k programme. I had a half knee replacement 7 1/2 weeks ago so had to get the surgeons approval first. As it's low impact he said go for it 😁. I don't have osteoporosis but do have osteo and psoriatic arthritis and have a recent history of low impact fractures (bone density checked out fine).

Enjoy xx
