Yesterday was nice and sunny in London, today it is wet and miserable. Glad I got out for a stroll yesterday.
We went to Westfield in Stratford and started walking towards Lee Valley. As we got further away from the Shopping center, I remembered a little walk way I ran past On My half marathon so we made a detour and had a look round, it was on a canal path called the Lee navigation path. It has a few bars and restaurants and is buzzing on a Sunday afternoon. We stopped in This little bar that had retro games as tables that you could play. I am not good at those sort of games but I gave it go while I had my 1/2 of cider. Then back on the pathway for a little bit more. It was a little hairy as the cyclists decided they liked the walkway more than their cycle lane which was only 100 mtrs off to the right so they were barging us into the rough to get past from the front and behind. It wasn’t getting any easier so we dipped into a park for out picnic.
We had a complete change of plan then and decided to make our way over to Finsbury Park taking in Stoke Newington and all that came on our path. Stoke Newington had a literary festival with live music in the town hall so we popped in there for a listen, All in all a few coffee stops and 10km. 22,000 steps. A nice walk in the sunshine 😀.
Have a great week everyone,
