Hi Kay50, thanks for the welcome. I enjoy walking but lost my walking companion when she found romance...lol. I seem to get out less and less these days as I don’t have the incentive, something always crops up and takes precedence. I know I need to devote more time to myself and finding a walking friend would give me that push. So...if you know anyone around the OL7 area (near Manchester) I’d love to be put in contact...x
Welcome! Romance eh! What a pain.
Getting the ball rolling can be tough with exercise. I found it helpful to set aside a specific time each day to force myself out the door. This builds a routine that then becomes easy to follow. I'm also finding lately that any time I'm home and feel sluggish or bored, a quick jaunt, even a short one, is a real pick-me-up and helps to kick start me back into gear.
It might help now hubby has gone back to work (4 months off!) I’ve walked up to our town centre and back each day this week, but tbh that’s getting
boring now...lol. I prefer to be out in the greenery but as I’ve an eye problem at the mo I don’t go anywhere alone
that’s unfamiliar, or unpopulated just to be on the safe side ...
