Anyone else with experience of a cyst on an AN?We're doing as much research as possible before our appointment this Tuesday

I had a cystic AN. It just spontaneously happens and can cause rapid growth. I was advised surgery was the best option to first decompress the cyst by slicing it and then removing the remaining tumour. Radiotherapy would have exacerbated the cystic component with its typical swelling reaction with this type of intervention..so surgery it was.

With the benefit of hindsight with AN cyst regularly have scans every 3 months in my opinion.

It depends on the quality of the schwannoma there is the surgical route or the non surgical route, factor in the quality of life.

Hello, my AN was cystic so I couldn't have SRS but had successful operation 3 years ago and doing OK :) hope this is helpful
