Just been confirmed AN 13 MM. and waiting for an appointment at LGI , been over two weeks now , just want to see a consultant and know where I am . Does anyone else have meniers as well as AN ? As the symptoms are the same how will I know which one is affecting me ? Thanks

My friend has meniers and I recently had my AN removed. We’ve shared our similar symptoms together. I wonder—do you truly have both or was it the tumor all along?

Hi , no I have had meniers in both ears for the last ten years , which has taken an awful lot of my hearing ! Luckily for me after losing (as they put it ) a dramatic and sudden hearing loss my audiodoagist sent me for further checks , hence my diagnosis of a A N too.

I was misdiagnosed for 7 months with bppv and as my dizziness was still bad after 4 Epley manoeuvres I was sent for an MRI, which picked up my 1-4cm AN, I'm also under the LGI and I've been on watch and wait since July 2018, my last MRI this July saw no chance in tumour size. He in the UK expect everything to be done so slow, if it's not large or compressing the brain stem, even from MRI to result your talking 8 plus weeks 😩

Hi I’ve have a AN found out in May after losing my hearing in my bad ear. It’s 10/9/6mm I’m having it taken out in November. I’ve had it for 5 years and it’s doubled in size. Started with bacterial meningitis. It’s a long wait but you will get there. There’s a group on Facebook which has been a life line for me. Very informative. I had to wait 7 weeks before I had the next appointment then 3 months for the operation. I had 3 options. Watch and wait. Radiotherapy or surgery. I researched it all and decided surgery is the only option for me. Hope this helps 👍 Forgot to say that they missed it 5 years ago. They weren’t looking for it when I had meningitis but it was there as they looked at my first mri scan. It was 5mm back then
