Hi just want to put this out there as it may help someone
I suffer from dreadful closdaphobia so when i was told i had to go for a MRI i was terrified. On searching the net i found out about open scanners near me at the Cardiff European Scan Centre I spoke to my hospital who advised there is a fund for this sort of thing and they would pay for me to have the scan done in cardiff at the centre there.
It took 2 wks to get the scan which I had done yesterday. The staff there were fantastic so caring and kind ( I was in a state by time I got there ) they put me at my ease mopped my tears and having the scan done was really ok.
Its 48 hours for results as well so a good turn round time. (still worried but it cuts down waiting time)
If you are clostaphobic would really recommend
