I always feel a bit better when January is over, and I can begin to slowly look forward to the coming months.

How have you been these past weeks?

I too dislike January even though it’s my birthday month. When it’s over I begin to notice that the days are getting a little longer, which gives me some hope that my SAD will start to fade. I also notice the restart of nature with snowdrops and crocus flowering. It takes some effort to look for these small positives, but it’s worth it. Hope you’ve been doing ok. Take care.

Hi PurpleEllie

Yes, we have to try to be positive and the little changes in nature really lift my spirits.

You’re right, the days are slowly getting longer which is so good. I’m planning which plants to grow and it’s really helped.

Keep positive x

It's my birthday this month, so I'm always relieved and surprised I made it through another year.

Looking forward to spring so I can open the windows to get some fresh air, and to planting my garden!

Hi LifeAfterDiagnosis

Welcome to our Community.

Well, Happy Birthday for this month!

Sorry to read that, yet it's good news too, you are here and are welcome.

Oh yes, Spring is such a hopeful time of year I think. Fresh air and new ideas for the garden do at least bring pleasure.

I smiled this morning when I saw daisy's growing on the grass already, all little signs of better days to come.

Goodness, I'm a little jealous you see daisies already! I must get my daffodils replanted this year; they're always the first sign of spring for me.

Thanks for the welcome and the birthday wishes!
