So this may sound a bit silly but is it normal for a spouse or significant other to go on vacation with family without taking their partner?, I'm going on vacation for a week with just my mom and sister and my partner is really upset about it saying that he'd never do that to me like what I'm doing is a bad thing .

People do that all the time, will be a different kind of holiday. It's very normal.

Yes this goes on a female or male get away. Some families do this, although personally we would not do that and never had even considered it. We have in the past gone on holiday with family or in Laws, that was a long time ago. We took my Mother in Law one year and that was an age ago

Personally why go out on holiday with a group of males or females especially if you need to take annual leave where family time away is a valuable commodity

I suppose we are al different, however we marry have children etc, Holidays are family time

from my very limited knowledge, i'd say it depends. helpful, wasn't i?😜 some couples do. my sister will go on girls' trips with my mum and aunt without her husband. he sometimes goes on holiday without her if it's something he really wants to do.

do you think he'd feel better if you planned something just for the two of you, maybe go someplace he's wanted to go for a long time?
