2X Mini Pills a day

Im going to keep this as brief as I can..

Was on 1x mini pill for 14ish years. Only a few breakthrough bleeds a year. One heavier one a year that would be 7 days... the rest were brown spotting that would last 1-4 days.

Mid 2020 had one that lasted 3+ weeks only a week break then another that lasted 2 weeks etc etc and this went on for 4 months.

Doctor told me to start taking 2 Mini Pills a day December 2020 and this stopped the issue.

2021 no issues in repeating this with nurses etc to do a repeat prescription. Breakthrough bleeds went back to how they used to. Sometimes they would last 10 days but only every 3-4 months.

So! Just called to get a repeat of this to carry on doing the double up dose (has now been 14 months doing this) to only be told NO its not safe to keep doing this and to IMMEDIETLY go back to one a day. She apparently checked with a doctor who agreed... its no longer safe?

My question is.. is anyone else doing this? What is the difference between this and say having the coil/implant and also taking a mini pill a day to control the bleeding??

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated as not sure how to proceed

I tried to get an explanation. I tried really hard but they wouldn't and just kept talking about getting the coil (which I cant get as I have interstitial cystitis and have been advised not to do).

I will go back to one and see what happens.. just seems a bit weird after this length of time and no guidance when they told me to do it to say "no longer than X amount of time". Have seen online other women take double dose
