Still bleeding and it will be 3 weeks monday.

Hey Guys,

Last week I reached out and said that I was bleeding even though I am on the pill, and my doctor said that I need to take a break from my pill, but I honestly feel like this has been a very long period, before taking the pill I was irregular anyway, but a 3 week period is A LOT for me, the longest period I had was 13 days. How do I get my doctor to recognise that there might actually be something wrong, as it’s just my gut feeling (if that makes sense).

Thank you so much.

I would call and tell them what you just said here. This isn’t normal for you in anyway. You aren’t comfortable and you feel there is something else going on. Keep pushing.

If they don’t want to listen call a different doctor. Often times you have to be persistent. Anymore a lot of them have gotten very good at just pushing people off. We know our own bodies better than them or anyone else will. So when you have that feeling that something just isn’t right investigate it until you are comfortable and satisfied. Best of luck to you.

I’m on rigevidon, and even though I’ve read a lot about this pill being bad, it’s the only contraception I’ve tried that works for my body.

I would ask for a second opinion as you said it’s not normal for you.

I’ve been having irregular and prolonged periods mine lasting 2-3months and heavy bleeding all with a coil and contraceptive pill pill which were meant to help stop the heavy periods! I asked for second opinion and I’ve been referred for bloods scans I’ve got fibroids.

Don’t give up good luck.

Get a pap test done immediately. I experienced the same situation and took a pap. Results came back abnormal and I had precancerous cells. I had a lesion on my cervix and received cryotherapy to remove it over other treatments. Since then i have had normal pap tests and no more heavy irregular periods lasting 12+ days. Hopefully this isnt the case for you but because of my experience I reccomend a pap. Best of luck to you. Take care.

Hi there

Sorry to hear you’re going through this.

I’m back on cerazette after spontaneous heavy bleed for months. Passed out. Hospital. Clots bigger than my hand. Anyway. Cut a long story short. I have fibroids but this was managed with cerazette for a few years. I then has embolisation treatment. Worked wonders. Then the spontaneous bleed out of nowhere. Was put on neoristerine 5mg for a few months. Bleeding was controlled. Can’t stay in them long term so switched back to my original cerazette and oh boy what I different experience. 6 months in. Still having irregular bleeding although not heavy and most days spotting. But this devil cycle has lasted 13 days. With the worse pain constantly !!

Waiting for appointment with gyno to check fibroids again.

Literally exhausted from the pain and from the bleeding.
