This is my first post, so appreciate any advice you can give please. I am 53 and have been on Everol Conti patches for 6 months but am experiencing regular breakthrough bleeds (most recent and longest is bleeding since mid January albeit very light). I was previously on the Sequi patches with progesterone tablets and had bleeds every 2 weeks.
I had a transvaginal ultrasound yesterday and was told there was nothing there (I’m assuming this means no polyps, fibroids or ‘mass’). I will be discussing the results with my GP next week but just trying to predict what my options are now and of course the reason for the bleeding?

Hi, I had been on these patches for over a year with no problems when I started getting light breakthrough bleeding. I had had no period for over 3 years so was referred to the fast track menopausal bleeding clinic. I had all the scans and examinations and no abnormalities were found but the bleeding continued sporadically. My Gynaecologist finally said in December last year to stop the patches and see how I go. The bleeding has stopped and I have now been told if I want to take hrt then I need to have a hysterectomy. I am putting up with the returning hot flashes, bad memory and aches and pains at the moment and am due to have a telephone conversation with my gynaecologist next month.
